Perhaps the two terms that reprise most in languaphilic circles are **immersion** and **spaced repetition**. Both are essential, but conventional methods for combining them are lossy.
The explosion of `GPT-3.5` made it possible to make immersion the frontend and spaced repetition the backend of a single system. While living in Taiwan during Summer 2023 I had the chance to formalize this on technical and cognitive-scientific grounds. The implementation is dutifully[^1] dubbed `PartnerGPT`.
